Ask “Where’s Sadguru?” Chances are you will first be advised “order Pav Bhaji” and then about both Sadgurus of same group, located within 5 minutes of each other. One of Chembur’s oldest eateries, it was awarded 2nd runner up in Bombay Times Best Pav Bhaji contest 2010 by public voting.
The first Sadguru was right next to Chembur station and that then it took over a bigger restaurant , opposite the BMC.The placed has literally evolved from being a pav bhaji center to a restaurant, with choices from South Indian, Chinese, Chaat variety being good but Punjabi dishes being strictly decent .None match the awesome “Pav Bhaji”, although a special word for their dosas & milkshakes. This well spaced restaurant, opposite the BMC, with a non-ac section and an ac section on top floor is priced reasonably. And “fast food” holds meaning here considering service is pretty quick despite being generally full.
With few frills, this “South Indian” feel restaurant is a favorite with families because of the food. Don’t count on getting a table easily, especially on weekends.
